Question 1

How long should I stay after ACL reconstruction?

Accepted Answer

ACL reconstruction is often done as a day case or with one night in hospital. Many patients stay 7 to 10 days in the destination for an early review and to begin physiotherapy, then continue rehabilitation at home over several months.

Question 2

Does the graft type change the price?

Accepted Answer

It can. Using your own tendon, a donor graft or a synthetic option, plus extra procedures such as meniscus repair, can change the cost. The graft choice is a medical decision; ask for a quote that states which option is assumed.

Question 3

What should I bring to the consultation?

Accepted Answer

Bring your knee MRI and report, any X-rays, notes from previous treatment and a list of medicines. Comfortable clothing and a knee brace, if you already have one, are useful. The hospital may supply crutches or a brace at extra cost.
